Monobelt®
Belt Filter Press with Thickener
The Teknofangi Monobelt® Belt Filter Press with Thickener offers an advanced, efficient, and reliable solution for sludge dewatering in water and wastewater treatment plants. Its integrated design, robust construction, and high efficiency make it an ideal choice for facilities seeking to optimize their sludge management processes. The system’s ability to produce dry sludge cakes, reduce operational costs, and save space further enhances its value.
The Monobelt® system integrates both a sludge thickener and a belt filter press into a single unit, providing an efficient solution for sludge dewatering. The process includes several essential stages, as outlined in the “Principle of Operation.”
The pre-thickener rotary drum with Archimedean screw inside performs the initial solid/liquid separation, with a significant reduction of the hydraulic load fed into the belt press. This allows the unit to handle sludge having very low Suspended Solids concentrations (0,5-1%)
The thickened sludge (that generally has now a concentration of 5-15%) is then fed to the Low-Pressure Draining Zone and distributed over the whole cloth width. It’s then gently pressed by three adjustable baffles and two breaker combs.
At the end of this stage, the sludge enters into the Wedge Zone, where it receives a gradual increase of pressure. After that, the sludge reaches the Maximum Pressure Zone, where it is compressed between the main filter cloth, and the secondary filter cloth, which lines the perforated cylinder.
At the exit of the MONOBELT®, dependent upon the characteristics of the sludge, it is possible to reach Dry Solids concentrations between 18% to 30% or more.
Due to the special design of the entire system, we can guarantee a solid capture up to 98%.
By integrating thickening and dewatering in a single unit, the Monobelt® system reduces capital and operational costs associated with separate equipment and installation.
The compact design minimizes the footprint, making it suitable for facilities with limited space.
Efficient thickening and dewatering result in high solids recovery, producing a drier sludge cake that is easier and less costly to handle and dispose of.
The system is designed to operate with low energy consumption, contributing to lower operational costs and environmental sustainability.
Can handle a wide range of sludge types and characteristics, making it versatile for various wastewater treatment applications.
Robust construction and high-quality materials ensure minimal maintenance requirements and long service life, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
Automated controls and monitoring systems provide real-time data and adjust operations for optimal performance, enhancing overall process efficiency and reliability.
